I was concerned about how high these devices were as I am using a work issued Dell Laptop (D-610) with a port replicator. This device is sturdy enough to support both devices without making fan noise and it's only about half an inch high. Because it supports both I didn't have to worry about it resting under the computer alone and creating a lift angle causing a flaky connection with the docking station. The price is quite reasonable and I recommend it highly for any 15 inch laptop and I suspect it would work fine for larger ones too. It can be used with the USB port on either side for flexibility too.

I recently bought a 17" Gateway laptop and realized that it got way too hot to use on my lap. This cooling pad works well for the price, but there is one flaw. I guess because my laptop is 17" the weight of it causes it to hit the fans every now and then. It doen't cause any damage and still works perfectly fine, it's just annoying to have to reposition the laptop so it doesn't make noise from hitting the fans. Other than that it works well and is very quite. If I had a 14" or 15" laptop I would definately recommend this cooling pad. 17" laptop I would look around a little bit, but if you can't find anything thats close in cost this cooling pad works fine.

I am extremely happy with the laptop cooling pad. It is quiet and and thin but also works well to keep the laptop cool. Couldn't be happier.

| Notebook/laptop Cooling Pad BLOWS |
|
This notebook/laptop cooling pad has very little air-flow.
Also, whenever you are typing on your laptop, causing your palms to rest on the laptop, it causes the fan blades to rub against the chassis, causing a loud noise. I would not recommend this product to anyone.
